Marietta Villalobos

Marietta Villalobos is a world-renowned dance instructor recognized for unlocking people's waistlines and cultivating competent dancers through Kizomba, Tarraxinha, Twerk, and other dance forms. With a strong social media presence and a passion to build an inclusive community, she continues to create new concepts, phrases, and diagrams to help her diverse students with various learning styles and needs.

Marietta is native to Costa Rica and immigrated to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1992. She is currently based in Seattle, WA, and teaches Kizomba and Tarraxinha at Salsa Con Todo and The Union Cultural Center. Her Kizomba journey began in 2007 with close friends from Angola that taught her many dances and aspects of their culture. Marietta’s teaching journey began later in 2014, in San Antonio, Texas. She has been trained and certified by Mestre Petchu and Vanessa Ginga Pura and has also worked with several world-renowned instructors.
